New Teeth In One Day

The Permanent Denture in One Day procedure allows endentulous(toothless) or soon-to-be endentulous patients to come into our practice the day of their surgery and leave that same day with a full set of replacement teeth. This technique, also referred to as All-On-4, uses four dental implants strategically placed at an angle to maximize bone tissue and provide the most effective support for a full fixed denture prosthesis.

Tilting the two posterior dental implants serves two main purposes. The first being that surgical placement at an angle allows a longer implant to be anchored in better quality anterior bone. This increases bone-to-implant contact, maximizes bone tissue for patients with reduced jaw-bone density, and significantly reduces the need for bone grafting and bone augmentation. Simply put, New teeth in a day uses less implants, more effectively to offer patients a less invasive tooth loss solution.

The second most important advantage to tilting the two posterior dental implants is that it provides unparalleled support for a full fixed denture. A great example of how this works would be to think of a contractor’s workbench. These benches have legs that are angled outwards to provide an extra degree of stability needed to support heavy machinery and power tools. This degree of stability provides a significant improvement  on the functionality of a patient's newly restored smile. Two more implants are placed at the front of the jaw to fully secure the fixed denture for a total of four dental implants.

Permanent Dentures in a Day patients can enjoy all the functions of natural teeth including eating the foods they love without hesitation. Patients leave their surgical appointment the same day with a full set of functional, aesthetic teeth. Hence the name, New Teeth in One Day.
