This technique, also referred to as All-On-4, uses four dental implants strategically placed at an angle to maximize bone tissue and provide the most effective support for a full fixed denture prosthesis.
Tilting the two posterior dental implants serves two main purposes. The first being that surgical placement at an angle allows a longer implant to be anchored in better quality anterior bone. This increases bone-to-implant contact, maximizes bone tissue for patients with reduced jaw-bone density, and significantly reduces the need for bone grafting and bone augmentation.
